Female

Menstruation Issues

  • Yarrow Astringent; can ease heavy flow.
  • Shatavari Ayurvedic rasayana for female reproductive support; traditionally used to balance hormones and nourish reproductive tissue.
  • Wild Yam Contains diosgenin; traditionally used to ease cramping and hormonal imbalance.
  • Chaste Tree Traditionally used to regulate hormonal cycles by acting on the pituitary gland.
  • Lady's Mantle Astringent herb traditionally used for heavy menstrual flow and cycle regulation.
  • Raspberry Leaf Traditionally used as a uterine tonic to reduce cramping and support menstrual health.
  • Dong Quai Known as "female ginseng" in TCM; traditionally used to regulate the menstrual cycle and ease cramps.
  • Motherwort Antispasmodic; traditionally used to ease cramping and reduce anxiety associated with PMS.
  • Rue Traditionally used in Latin American and Caribbean herbalism as an emmenagogue to bring on delayed menstruation. Use with caution; not for use during pregnancy.
  • Mugwort Emmenagogue; traditionally used to stimulate delayed menstruation. Not for use during pregnancy.
  • Calendula Anti-inflammatory; traditionally used to ease pelvic congestion and support reproductive tissue health.
  • Feverfew Traditionally used for menstrual-related headaches and to ease cramping.
  • Turmeric Anti-inflammatory; traditionally used in Ayurveda for menstrual pain and pelvic inflammation.

Delayed Menstruation

Herbs traditionally used to help bring forth menstruation (emmenagogues). Not for use during pregnancy.

Pregnancy and Breastfeeding
