Overview
Goldenseal is a potent bitter herb native to North America, prized for its powerful antimicrobial and anti-inflammatory properties. Traditionally used for respiratory infections, digestive inflammation, and skin disorders, it is often turned to as a "go-to" herb for acute conditions involving the mucous membranes. Goldenseal supports liver and gallbladder function and is particularly effective when combined with other immune-supporting herbs. Though strong in action, it should be used with care and for limited durations. Externally, it soothes skin irritations and promotes wound healing.
