Roses vs Rosehips: What is the difference?
We've all heard of roses and rosehips. What is the difference and how can you use both?
Roses are pretty obvious. Beautiful flowers in an array of colors that are often given as a token of love. Not only that, rose petals are frequently used as a display of love. The addition of rose petals really can set the tone for an evening of love and passion. They can be added to a bath, scattered on the floor or bed, in a special tea blend, or anywhere else you want to set the tone for romance. Many magical workings for love include red rosebuds or petals. Whether you are making a mojo bag, tea, spiritual bath, incense, or an anointing oil, roses are some of the best flowers to use in your magical workings for love, attraction, romance, or passion.
Rosehips are the seed pod of the rose. Not often used in magical work, the rosehip is the most nutritious part of the rose plant. It is full of Vitamin C and can have a slightly tart taste. Not something you want when you are trying to sweeten up your love live, but can be added to teas for their nutritional value. Rosehips can be used in conjunction with other herbs for magical love and prosperity workings, as well as a great addition to spiritual teas. They can also make a great anointing oil as well.
Many blessings to you and may you find all the love and happiness you desire.
