Overview

Catnip is a soothing, aromatic herb best known for its calming effects on the nervous system and its gentle support for colds, fevers, and digestive upset—especially in children. A member of the mint family, it has a light, minty flavor and is traditionally used to ease tension, encourage sweating during fevers, and support restful sleep. Spiritually, Catnip is associated with love-drawing rituals and is commonly used to anoint candles or include in charms to attract affection. It is adaptable and easy to grow, making it a valued ally in both the medicine cabinet and magical practice.

Applications:

2 tsp dried herb infused 1 Cup boiling water or 1oz dried herb for 1 pint of water, take up to 3 Cups daily; 15-30 drops tincture taken up to 3 times daily

Habitat & Growing Conditions:

Native to Europe, but now naturalized in North America, US zones 3-9. Likes well drained soil and full sun, but will adapt to partial shade
