Autumn is an amazing time of year. The changing of the seasons, Halloween, and the rest of the end of the year holidays all bring up feelings of excitement and comfort. The days get shorter and the nights get longer. Many believe that this is also a time when the veil between worlds is the thinnest. While we may love to connect with ancestors, there are also more sinister spirits out and about as well. It is important to consider spiritual protection.

If you are a medium, it's a good idea to cover your head during the last week of October and first week of November. You don't want an unwanted spirits attaching to you. Splashing yourself with a little bit of Florida Water is a great way to do a quick cleanse, especially if you have been out interacting with people.

Angelica root can be collected in October and into November and is a helpful protective herb. A tea made from the root can be added to floor washes for cleansing and protection. You can also powder the dried root at add to incenses and powders for protection. The powdered root can also be mixed with other protection herbs and sprinkled in the corners of your home and property for protection.

A rosemary plant placed near the entrance of your home, or a sprig of rosemary placed above your front door also offers protection from unwanted spirits from entering your home.

No article about spiritual protection can be complete without discussing salt. Whether you use sea salt, black salt, or other salts, it is highly protective. Sprinkle salt around the perimeter of your home and property for protection.You can also sprinkle a pinch of salt in the corners of your home as well.
