Oregano Oil: A Must-Have In Your Herbal Medicine Cabinet
Oregano oil has become a very popular natural remedy and with good reason. How can it help you this cold and flu season? Here are some uses for this potent herbal infusion.
Not to be confused with oregano essential oil, oregano oil or oil of oregano is actually an herb infused oil making it safe to take internally. Never use oregano essential oil internally as it can cause burning to internal tissue. Essential oil is oil distilled directly from the plant. An herb infused oil is done with the plant and a carrier oil and diluted. Oregano oil can also be found in gel cap form. Its antimicrobial, antiviral, and anti-fungal properties make it a natural antibiotic. As an added benefit, it is also an anti-parasitic.
