Cleansing Your Home

Your environment is also important. While it's good to spring clean your home, it's also important to do an energetic cleanse as well. The energy in your environment can get heavy, stagnant and eventually it will drain your energy. If you're feeling unmotivated and general malaise, consider doing an energetic cleanse along with your spring cleaning.

1. Incense: If you are able to burn incense in your home, using the smoke is a great way to clear the energy. Working from the top floor and down, back to front, go through your home with a cleansing incense blend. Don't forget to open windows and doors to let the energy out.

2. Smudge: Some traditions use white sage sticks to smudge their environment. The sage is cleansing and invigorating and using the same method as the incense, it can be used to cleanse your home. If you don't like the smell of white sage, another alternative is to burn a palo santo scent.

3. Spray: A natural cleansing spray made with cleansing essential oils is a great alternative if you are unable to burn sage or incense. Sage, lemon, and eucalyptus are wonderful for clearing out  negative, stagnant energy.

4. Floor Wash: Add a cup of infusion of the cleansing herb blend to the wash water and wash your floor, walls, and windows with the blend. Florida water is a pleasant, uplifting scented cologne that has been traditionally added to washes for cleansing.

Cleansing the energy in your home can help you feel motivated and invigorated, removing the heavy feeling you may have after being cooped up all winter. If you do a spring cleaning of your home, don't forget the energy.
